New York is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around New York is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

This is a must visit chocolatier in New York. It’s such a cute and quaint shop with an adjoining tea room that you can escape into. The customer service is also very nice. They made sure I had a cold pack in my bag before I walked out in the New York heat. I highly recommend getting their box of chocolates. They are perfect and bite sized. My favorite was the passion fruit one. Now I would not recommend their tea service. The sandwiches felt very low quality. Scones and macaron were delicious though. I’d just order from their regular menu next time I go.

I’ve been a loyal customer of MarieBelle ever since receiving one of their gifts from a business partner a few years ago! So I was especially excited to finally visit their SoHo location on Broome Street. This was my first time going to the store, and I was immediately impressed by how beautiful it looked from the inside. I was looking to get a New York theme chocolate gift box for my client from overseas. The decorative design of the space is elegant, warm, and thoughtfully arranged, making the entire experience feel special. Their products were also displayed wonderfully, which made browsing even more enjoyable and gave the store a very polished atmosphere. What stood out most to me was the staff. They were super friendly, welcoming, and very knowledgeable about the products they carry. She was happy to answer our questions and even gave us some samples to try, which made the visit feel even more personal and memorable. With three locations in New York and three in Japan, MarieBelle clearly knows how to maintain quality and charm. This visit only made me appreciate the brand more, and I’m glad I finally had the chance to experience this location for myself. Highly recommende

Brought my wife here for our anniversary and I’m incredibly glad I did. As a chocolate lover, it was an incredible experience. The service was terrific, the chocolates were delicious. The wine was, of course, enjoyable. I highly recommend getting the dark chocolate truffles to take home with you 😉

MarieBelle’s NYC location is absolutely beautiful, with a warm and inviting atmosphere that immediately transports you—it almost feels like you’ve stepped out of the city for a moment. The chocolate is truly exquisite. I first discovered it at Costco and knew I had to visit the flagship store, and it did not disappoint. Every bite reflects a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail. The music adds to the experience—it’s thoughtfully curated and enhances the ambiance in a way that makes you want to stay longer. If I had one suggestion, it would be to expand the menu slightly. While the current offerings are well-suited for late afternoon or evening, adding more finger sandwich options—perhaps baguettes or a few elevated lunch items—would make it an even stronger destination during midday. Additionally, more intentional coffee and chocolate pairings, especially for lunch hours, would really elevate the experience. Overall, a stunning space with exceptional chocolate—definitely worth the visit.

Finding truly well-balanced chocolate is harder than it should be. After going through a few dozen chocolate shops across the city—Manhattan, Williamsburg, and Brooklyn—I can confidently say this place stands out as the best. Their range of hot chocolates is exceptional: dark, milk, hazelnut, white—each one thoughtfully crafted. Every cup is rich and creamy, yet perfectly balanced, never overly sweet. You can actually taste the quality of the chocolate without it being masked by sugar. The iced chocolate with shaved ice is something special—delicate, refreshing, and unlike anything I’ve tried before. It’s the kind of drink that surprises you, even if you’ve already experienced some of the better chocolate shops in Paris. What keeps us coming back year after year, beyond the chocolate itself, is the service. It’s impeccable. They’ve maintained a consistent team that clearly cares about what they do. There’s a sense of integrity and pride in the business, and a genuine warmth toward returning customers that you don’t often find in NYC. Special thank you to Johnny for being great host for years.
